In this video we will cover Sangla and Kalpa. In the morning we started our journey from Rakcham and visited Kamru Fort at Sangla. Famous Badri Vishal Ji temple is located on the way to the fort. From there we proceeded towards Karcham Dam. Baspa river flows along side the entire journey. Baspa rivers meets with Sutlej river at Karcham Dam which is entry point of Sangla valley. We crossed Karcham dam and went ahead towards Reckong Peo. Now Sutlej river accompanied us till Powari. We took left side of the road which bifurcates at Powari. This road goes uphill towards Reckong Peo. Reckong Peo is the district head quarter of Kinnaur district and connected with all major towns around it . It is a busy town and boast of a very large bus stand. We stopped for half an hour at Reckong Peo. Then we moved towards Kalpa. Kalpa is a famous hill station of Kinnaur district in Himachal Pradesh. We stayed at Hotel White Nest at Kalpa. I have provided names of many hotels at Kalpa. Main tourist attraction of Kalpa is amazing view of Kinnaur Kailash range. The famous peaks of Kinnaur Kailas are Mt. Kinnaur Kaish(6050m), Mt. Jorkanden (6437m) and Mt. Raldang (5499m). Mt. Jorkanden id the highest peak of Kinnaur Kailash. There is a 79 feet tall monolithic stone which resembles the Shiva Linga is worshiped by local people. Roghi village and Chini village of Kalpa are popular tourist destination here. The road to Roghi village is considred as most dangerous road in India. Main tourist attraction of Chini village are Hu Bu Lonkar Monastery and Narayan Nagin temple. The golden apple of Kalpa is very famous.
